Lebron James So where is it?

In Sports on July 8, 2010 at 4:48 pm

Are you tired of it, Really does every radio sports station have to be talking about the SAME THING, obviously I guess they all have too, because they all are, every sports station, Lebron, Lebron, Lebron, It almost makes me want to get a Kobe Bryant Mask and walk into one of these stations and well, change the subject…

Okay maybe tonight it will all end, the big 1 hour special on ESPN is suppose to be the time that Lebron James tells the world were he is going to play basketball this fall. So far it isn’t clear but there are tons of rumors that he may be headed to the Miami Heat to join Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade. Sure, Fantastic, let’s get the league top heavy once again, it’s okay with me, but I’d prefer a more competitive eastern conference instead of seeing the Boston and Miami talk all year. Really Cleveland, if you lose Lebron, forget about even being mentioned, because you will fall off the face of the NBA map as soon as he leaves….

Let’s hope Lebron either stays in Cleveland or Goes to New York….Making this a three team race instead of a two team race….Let’s boost the east into beasts!!

Creed on Tour

In Family life, Music on July 6, 2010 at 4:33 pm

Here we are in the summer of 2010. Already seems to be a little hotter than normal. Three straight days of 90 degree weather, something that I don’t remember having in a long time. We along with the awesome beach ready weather comes the summer concerts, god I love summer.

I’ve already planned this summers vacations. Just recently finished one, taking a trip to the west side of Michigan and spending a few days at Michigan’s adventure. Not a bad park, didn’t ride much rides though, spent most of the day in the water park, which was awesome. But I’ve been geeked up for the next little break, a Creed Concert in late July. Yahoo!!!

I was lucky enough to be able to see them live back in the early 2000’s and they were pretty awesome, loved the show and have never been to a concert that had 20,000 people all singing in harmony, it really got you pumped up. So this time around their won’t be as many people, but neither less it should be exciting and I’m glad to be lucky enough to experience the creed show once again, plus I’m taking four other people who are new to the scene. Three of which have never been to any type of professional rock concert, which should be a fun sight, they are in for one hell of a show.

Silly Bandz Go Licensed!

In Breaking News, Toys on June 7, 2010 at 1:12 pm

As I noted in an earlier post, Silly Bandz were the hottest thing to hit the United States Since the invention of baseball cards. These fun shaped rubber bands come in an assortment of shapes, but because they were not patented, there is a lot of different brands of Silly Bands including Zanybandz, Silly Bandz, Bandzmania, Crazy Bandz, and Bama Bandz.

Now it seems that Silly Bandz have gone licensed. Now you can get Disney Silly Bandz, Comic Character Silly Bandz, NFL, MLB, and NBA logo Bandz. It was only a matter of time before the big boys entered the Kid’s new fad, but as expected you can expect to pay a good chunk of change for these new styles…I tend to hate the licensed fees!!!

Okay I May Understand the Craze now that I remember

In Family life, Toys on May 24, 2010 at 4:35 pm

In an earlier post, I mention that there is a current craze going on about these animal shaped rubber bands bracelets most known as Silly Bands. These rubber band bracelets are the latest kid fad that has kids are going nuts over them. After looking at these rubber bands, I really didn’t understand the reason to why kids are going mad over them. BUT then I realized.

Camp Shap Silly Bands

I started to look through some of my old pictures of when I was a kid. And I immediately noticed a common theme, something started to show up in several pictures. I wasn’t necessarily the same object, but it was the same type of product. It was a Cardboard box. Why was this? It really became clear to me that my childhood best friend was boxes, I loved them. I played with them, made things with them, and of course wore them as shoes, the ole’ six pack shoes, boy those were the days, then in a blink of an eye, it hit me.

We as kids do not need those expensive toys to keep ups occupied or busy. Our imagination can run wild with the simplest things, and to me it doesn’t seem to be a surprise that Rubber Bands are making the kids go nuts everywhere. Children can find happiness with the littlest things no matter what that might be, I guess that is the beauty of children. So now it doesn’t surprise me to why kids, love these little animal shaped rubber bands bracelets!!!

What’s the deal with these Silly Bandz?

In Online Shopping on March 31, 2010 at 4:21 pm

Okay I thought I had seen it all when I read about the popularity of the Pet Rock back in the day, but now it seems there is another exploding product that I’m really having a hard time explaining. I’m talking rubber bands, how can this be, Rubber bands that are shapes.

From what I can tell they are called Silly Bandz. So I did a little more research on them and I was floored at the popularity of these things. There seems to be about three main brands Silly Bandz of course and then there are Zany Bands and Bandzmania. All look very similar and all look, well, What the heck is going on?

If your into these Silly Bandz, then during my research of these crazy things I found that As seen on TV Products had a promotion going on a few brands of these silly bracelet rubber bands.

Into Search Engine Optimization?

In Online Business on March 27, 2010 at 11:19 pm

Okay, yes I’m an internet junkie and of course I’m always browsing the internet for something. Well today, I’ve came across a site  or  “Blog” that is rather interested if you are into Internet Marketing and Search Engine Optimization. Of course you probably know by now that this site’s subject matter is about Internet Marketing.

Well there I was browsing through the information and it seems to have some value and I picked up on a few things that I didn’t know. Thought the information was pretty good, so here I am sharing about InternetandSearchMarketing.com.

I’ll probably be paying close attention to what is available from them now on, like the direction.

Facebook is exploding – What lies in the Future

In Social Networking on March 6, 2010 at 5:32 am

First it was Friendster, then came Myspace, now Facebook has become one of the most used web sites on the web. Social networking has exploded over the past few years, and the future is bright for the likes of Facebook. Myspace as moved behind Facebook for the top social networking spot.

With the ability to connect via mobile with cellphones, PDA’s, and other devices that give people the ability to update on the run, Facebook has become an interesting player that may perhaps challenge Google as the most visited web site on the web. It seems that Facebook has especially connected with the older crowd as well as the young. They provide an easy way to stay connected, unlike most other Social Networks such as Myspace, which may seem complicated for those who are not all to familiar with the technology and tend to be bogged down due to the overloaded advertisements, graphics and scripts.

Facebook browsing tends to be less frustrating then their counterparts, and provide a simple way to explore, network, and connect like never before. The ceiling is truly undefined for what Facebook will do and will become. We are just seeing the beginning of something special.

Speaking of Snuggies, Now comes The Original Dreamie!

In Online Shopping on February 22, 2010 at 4:57 pm

Everyone by now knows about the Snuggies, but here comes another incredibly ridiculous “Why didn’t I think about that idea?” The Original Dreamie – The top sheet, bottom sheet, and pillow all in one system. Really, is it a new idea, in concept, no, but in this day of age it doesn’t have to be. Just like the Snuggie, which looks like a backward robe, the Dreamie Blanket is basically a sleeping bag, but with sheets.

Basically in the whole aspect of the concept of the dreamie, the idea may seem stupid at first thought, but over time and after seeing the As seen on TV sensation, you come to realize that maybe this idea may be useful after all. It really didn’t necessarily hit till recently. Since I love to travel, and do spend a few nights a year in a hotel, it finally struck me, The dreamie is the perfect solution to sleeping on those “I Don’t Know what’s happen on these” Sheets.

The Dreamie may have  a use after all, if you are a traveler, then the Dreamie Blankets…….

Movie Remakes – New Releases effect the Halloween Costume Industry

In Holidays, Movies, Online Shopping on February 19, 2010 at 3:12 pm

Ironman Halloween CostumeIt is really interesting to see how the movie industry recreates old movies, and in 2010, 2011, and 2012, we’ll get our fair share of remade movies of the classic hits of yesteryear. I understand that the latest film technology gives film makers more tools to create the masterpiece look they were after back in the day, and I understand that some directors want to create these classic movies in a way that they seem fit, thus trying to play the I’m better than you game, but is it really a good idea, or are remakes the “Guaranteed” gold mines of film making?

Of course I’m kind of split on remakes. Part of me wants the film industry to leave some of the classic films alone, because I want the originality to stay intact. Even though they may have not been produced with the “Modern” day technology that the film industry has today, but they at the time of their releases they were instant classics and for the horror flicks, they did scare the hell out of me when I was a kid.

But looking at it from the industries point of view, I can see why. They obviously know there is already a fan base there, and of course maybe they believe that they will be able to tell the story just a little bit better with the capabilities they have at their hands today. Not only is there remakes being developed to perhaps become box office hits, but also there are a ton of new versions or past blockbuster hits.

What is surprising is that the movie industry has a huge effect on the Halloween Costumes industry. The latest blockbuster can strongly effect the newest lines of Costumes and their selling ability. The overall effect that the movie industry has on the costume industry is obviously recognized in Kids Costumes. It really is no secret that children are direct targets of advertising networks, because they understand that if they get their product in front of Children, chances are they will bug their parents enough till the point they break down and make the purchases. 2010 Halloween Costumes should provide some interesting choices during your costume shopping.

So onto the next few years, what can we expect as Far as Movies that should effect the costumes production:
